Christina Rosendahl (b. 1971) is a Danish director and screenwriter, whose documentary VIOLENTLY IN LOVE goes behind the closed doors of a Copenhagen-based women’s shelter. Day by day the women are processing their traumas, building confidence and slowly understanding what it takes to break the cycle of violence. Rosendahl is best known for the films Idealisten (2015) and Triple Dare (2006). Since 2014, she’s been the head of the Danish Film Directors association.
In addition to attending Friday’s Violently in Love screening, Rosendahl will be taking part in the Plotting Violence panel.
